Whirling Dervishes - People
Henk Devos, Chief Executive Officer:
While Henk was studying theoretical Computer Science in Ghent, he published his first shareware program (a program for CD collectors) on the internet in 1991, even before a browser was invented. While he first did a job with high responsibility and low wages, and later a job with low responsibility and high wages, he continued writing programs for a hobby. But one day the hobby got out of hand, and Whirling Dervishes was born. He suddenly forgot he was a techie and started doing business instead.Keith Giddings, Chief Software Architect
Keith trained for many years as an analytical chemist.
One day in the late 1970's a shiny new computer arrived in the laboratory and Keith discovered computing.
After spending a number of years developing software for other people and avoiding the move into management,
Keith decided it was time he went into business for himself and GP Software (Thame) was born.
While Keith currently lives in the UK, he can often be found in his natural
habitat eating seafood and drinking wine by the Bassin de Thau in the
South of France.
